More stuf to put in HOM would be great, as those destroyer weapons are as ugly as sin. They look like something that came out of a donky's ass.

The way to do it right:

*The monument should remain max'able with 11 different weapons
*Adding more should be entirely optional (and rework the monument ordering...)
*The Destroyer weapons should be the low-end, the easiest of all other possibilities - so the task of maxing the monument doesn't become easier
*No greens
*Most obvious weapon choices:
--All Tormented,
--All '08 Contest winner golds (r9-10)
--All Zodiac weapons (r8-9 perf inherent or r9 insc)
--the top rares like Eternal Blade, Crystalline, Voltaic, Silverwing, ...(without req limitation)
--quality high-end golds, only ones 'protected from overfarm' by rarity (r9 or less, inherently perfect or inscrib.) - a long list, examples to include: Chaos Axe, Fellblade, Magmas Shield, Storm Bow, Ghostly Staff, Celestials...
--All the Canthan rarities that don't have insc. versions (r9 or less and perf inherent only)

We'll see how they handle the situation with people who have already filled HoM with destroyer items.

A bit off-topic: We know items in HoM will unlock something in GW2. Now the question: will each item unlock something or only the ones displayed? For example: Lets say I add 20 titles to HoM - do I get 20 of 'something in GW2' or just 5 as there is only 5 statues?

Ever since EoTN went live, the weapon rack in my main character's HoM has been bare. I didn't like the fact that only destroyer weapons could be added (not that I've ever had any), when my perfect celestial bows and elemental swords couldn't.

Any improvements would be welcome (adding greens, end-game or elite zone craftable golds, rare skins), as well as the ability to choose which titles/heroes/minipets/weapons/armours to display in the hall.

I strongly disagree with that - only providing more expensive options, just opens it up for the millionaires and leaves the rest of us collecting Destroyer turds. Not that I think free greens should be added, but I'd rather see some new crafters, with options balanced to cost the same-ish as the Destroyer weapons.

It's a shame Deldrimor crafting costs were not balanced to parallel that of Destroyer weapons - that would have seemed a pretty obvious start to me.

How did they handle the fact that gems that are used to craft em dropped to 1k-ish price?

There is no need to "handle" it. All early adopter take risk and are nearly always burned by inflation/value loss. People who waited with destroyer weapons till now saved over ~85k per weapon. That is nearly million gold!

So anyone claiming that any method of making monument easier to complete is bad thing because they already did it hard way gets "WTF" from me, because doing it the "easy way" is always just matter of waiting long enough.

There is a lot of opportunity to create lowend item sink that would suck them out of ecomony and thus help fix "too many items, not enough buyers" problem. This possiblity of fix should not be sabotaged because some people invented too much too early and think that everyone should follow their steps.

I wasn't thinking about price of items (ANet is in the business of kicking the dead hores that is economy now) but more of the actual implementation. Will a second row of items be added? Will a 'rearrange' button be added. Something else?

Adding Deldrimor items (as has been suggested many times in this thread) makes absolutely no sense to me because
a) after the hoopla fades you realize they are essentially boring endgame items same as the endgame items in nightfall and factions .. if you add deldrimor it would only make sense to add the others too
b) they are very easy/inexpensive to get
c) you can only get 1 per character meaning - that's not much of an additioon to the HoM unless Anet adds multiple stands and means for you to buy the rest from others - which really isn't their modus operendi (not to mention who is going to sell them if everyone needs them for HoM)

As for what items they SHOULD add? Well

- Definitely not greens - way to easy to get and besides farming ftl

- Super-rare skins? i don't know, how would you choose which ones? And then you are left with everyone farming the same couple of spots that drop them. (and to you people suggesting super-rare with req requirements ... lol get a life...farming x1000 is REALLY ftl)

- BMP weapons? WAY too easy to get - HoM weapons should be some sort of challenge to get...

- Tormented makes alot of sense to me, as does Zodiac. Rewards for the super-high-end areas should be better anyway - this would be added incentive to do them

BTW .. I would love to see some sort of 'special' stand for FoW armor. Lumping it together with the rest of the 15k really detracts from the 'achievement' (such as it is) of getting it...

On my paragon i've got a full HoM however and it angers me that Anet go and do this after my hard spent time and gold on filling that HoM completely. That being said i feel more pity for the poor people who have gone and filled out their HoM with destroyer weapons now as it could be an utter waste of gold and time lol. Especially if they make Tormented weapons, the better looking set, able to be put into the HoM.

Why surprised? They've been doing stuff like this nonstop lately. They're acting as though there's a monthly fee and they need to keep people playing. But there isn't a monthly fee and so their actions are pissing people off without even improving profit.

Just pisses me off that after so long of saying that destroyer weapons will be the ONLY weapons to be included into the HoM. After we demand more sets to be included, for what felt like years. They do a complete U turn and go back on their word meaning all the time and profit i spent is essentially wasted. I think destroyer weapons look fugly, and it annoys me it really does.

Why couldn't they announce an auction house? if GW needs anything its a decent economy, not more HoM crap. And the majority of new players still don't know how/what to do with the HoM. I mean if i hear another "what do i do with the tapestry???" in EOTN outpost i may just snap.

Well, you know, maybe they want both.

Keep people playing till GW2 rolls out and make them pissed enough at GW1 so that they will quite GW1 for GW2

*It be conspiracy!*

imo tomented stuff is as much butt ugly, as most of the destroyer items... and as said, I'm against tormented weapons. Rich players should not get rewarded more, than neccessary...
And those weapons are only for super rich players, because it requires lots of money to get one of those butt ugly shit weapons, far more, than for destroyer weapons...

Most best option will be ever, that Players should be able to put onto their monument whatever they want, as long it has max mods and a req of 9 or lower, as logn as these requirements are fullfilled, players should be able to put any item on the monument, you want to display.

Any player should have there FREE CHOICE, because guess what, we talk ablout the hall of Monuments and its a PERSONAL instance where every player can freely decide, btw better said should be able to freely decide, which stuff gets to be shown for others, if you bring friends to your HoM...
Havign only to put destroy weapons on the monument is NO free personal choice, its a retarded momument, as long it stays so, like it is atm.

and when so, then are some Greens really easy to get, but if something is now easy to get or not, will not change anythign on the personal setted value for the items, like greens.
For someone they are worthless and would never think on puttign any green on their monument, even if it goes quicker, for others they are valuable and theose wones would like to put the green onto their monument. that the green is then easy to get or not, is somethign diffirent that plays no matter, because in the end it will be ever your personal decision, if you want to have these items on your personal monument, or not, because maybe your such a type of posing player, which wants to have on his monument ever only the most costful shit on, even if its so ugly, that you could die, when ou look at it, but its only important, it had cost you thousands over thousands of platin ectos and armbraces >.>

Why want so much people to see, that every crap on the HoM must only be high end huh ? Can't understand this kind of thinking ...
HoM is not only for uber hardcore gamers with so much gold, that they can't count their wealth anymore Also casual gamers should be anytime able to max all the monuments and therefore is for the weapons monument the option missing, to put also low end max items there and greens ect. stuff that is easier to get and doesn't cost direct tons of platin to achieve them items.
